The following five KCYLNA Committees were established in 2023 with the goal of providing valuable resources to empower Knanaya youth in their personal faith journey, educational pursuits, career endeavors, and broader networking opportunities. Each committee has a specific purpose and is led by five youth from our Knanaya community along with 2 liaisons from the current KCYLNA Board.
<aside> 🙋🏽 Were you involved with your local KCYL and miss it? Or have you always wanted to be involved with KCYLNA? Here’s your chance! Being part of a KCYLNA Committee is a great way to meet new people, improve your leadership skills, and give back to our community in an impactful way. Committee terms are a year long, beginning August 1st and ending September 1st of the next year. Committee membership is open to Knanaya Catholic youth ages 18-29, and no prior experience on any KCYL board is necessary! The applications are currently closed and will open up again in May/June 2025.

<aside> ✝️ Purpose: Opportunity for Knanaya youth to grow in their Catholic faith through initiatives like Bible Study, prayer groups, etc.

<aside> 🤝 Purpose: Pair interested youth with other willing youth or young adults in the career/field they are interested in so they can learn more about the field and have a mentor.

<aside> 🎓 Purpose: Conduct College and Career fairs, especially for nontraditional careers, so youth can get to know their options for their future

<aside> 📰 Purpose: Create a newsletter every 6 months that spreads news about KCYLNA and local KCYL events, highlight their achievements, and recognize outstanding individuals.

KCYLNA wants to do even more to promote our youth than conduct events like mixer, youth convention, and summit, but we need your help! Sign up for one of the five committees to serve the Knanaya community on a national scale and get a taste of what being on the KCYLNA Board is like!
Committee members are chosen from a pool of applicants based on their interest in the committee and their qualifications and experiences.

The current term for the committee will end Sept. 2025.
